LifeGuard has gone out of its way to work at achieving and maintaining the latest in Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) protocols. It has been on the leading edge of the latest technology as it has been coming out, a rarity in the industrial medical field.

 

It is utilizing video equipment technology by way of the GlideScope Ranger to assist the practitioner in securing and maintaining a patient’s airway. LifeGuard has the Zoll AutoPulse automated CPR device which is capable of producing NORMAL BLOOD PRESSURES on those in full cardiac arrest, and it has spared no expense in purchasing and using the Zoll X Series Cardiac Monitor, the very latest in technology available to in-hospital and in-field medical professionals.

 

LifeGuard is honoured to have, as it’s Medical Director, the Doctor who is also one of the Medical Directors for Alberta Health Services EMS, for the Strathcona EMS service, is a serving STARS Trauma Doctor, and is a well-respected and well established emergency Physician in one of Alberta’s main trauma centers.

 

The protocols that LifeGuard has worked hard to establish include not only the standard protocols, but extra protocols addressing tetanus vaccinations, and it is also working very hard currently to join in the Vital Heart program.
